Torrential rain burst open over the pitch during near the end of the third quarter and right at the beginning of the fourth quarter, just as the Spanish women scored to bringing the score to 3-1, upsetting the rhythm of the ladies in orange.

What an electric way to start the EuroHockey Championship in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Discussion between the tournament officials decided to resume the game, and they are getting the crowds back in to finish the game this evening in order to ensure the rest of the tournament runs smoothly.  Although another 20 minutes is needed in the postponement of the match to make sure the game is played in safety.

Hockey players are made of tough stuff, even a storm is no match for them.
