The mind thinks, then the man follows – one of the truest pieces of wisdom that is part of my daily mantra. Before you do anything you need to set your mind, and keep it set. The power of the mind is absolutely incredible, and with the smallest of changes you can see big rewards.
One of the things I do to start my day is list 10 things I’m grateful for. You won’t believe how quickly your mood improves when you focus on the good and your thoughts are filled with what you have instead of what you haven’t got. It’s a new thing approach I’ve taken and it will definitely help with the 5.45am get-up tomorrow.
I am grateful for so many things, and I’ve incredibly driven, inspiring and focused people around me that I look up to every day. They probably don’t even know. You’re that person to someone.
Another thing I find powerful and motivating is listening to empowering speeches on Spotify. I have a playlist for everything, and I have one for the gym, naturally. In between ferocious beats and fast paced tunes are a couple of motivational speeches that have a stunning backdrop of cinematic symphonies that instills some determination deep inside you. Have that intertwined with the incredibly powerful pieces of advice and wisdom spoken in a strong and encouraging manner, you have a recipe for success. I suggest you invest 5 minutes tomorrow to listen, maybe on your work commute and see how great and more empowered you’ll feel after.

There’s a popular quote going around: the person you will be in 5 year is based on books you read and the people you hang around with today.
This is quite true – but it applies to everything else as well.
The person you will be in the future is based on everything you do today. The people you hang around with, but more so, the people you choose to listen to, the opinions you believe, the books you read or the videos you watch. All information you take in, positive or negative, will affect your future.
The workouts you do, or don’t do – that will show up in the future.
The foods you eat today will affect your future on a visual and energy level.
The same is true with your thoughts and information – what you feed your mind will shape your future.
If all you do is take in garage, guess what your future is going to be made up of. Commit to feed your mind with successful thoughts and surround yourself with those who have the same ambition.
It doesn’t matter where you get your information from. You may read, you may get it from podcasts or videos, it doesn’t matter. Just make sure you keep feeding your mind every day.
Your future self is begging you to show some discipline.
Your future self is begging you not to be like the rest. To learn more than the rest. To work harder and smarter than the rest.
Your future self is begging you to do the work now so you can enjoy later.
If you don’t feed your mind with success it will rot with mediocrity.
What you do every day will dictate your future.
What you want out of life, you must put it in.
If you want success, put it in there.
If you want health and fitness, put it in.
If you want peace and happiness, put it in.
Your actions will equal your results.
