Commonwealth Games 2018 – Gold Coast | Hockey Schedule and Times

The time is nearly here for one of the most highly anticipated hockey tournaments in the sporting calendar, the Commonwealth Games.

This year, the Commonwealth Games is set to be bigger than ever before, with Australia hosting on the beautiful Gold Coast.

With this comes a little working out when it comes to the timings of watching the games.  With the BBC dedicating over 200 hours of coverage for the Commonwealth Games we’re sure to see a surge of hockey back onto our TV screens.  Now, I’m sure you’ve asked yourself: “when are the hockey games shown in Britain?” well, we’ve been busy creating a schedule for you to follow.  Maybe you can even pop it up on your fridge or tape it into your diary so you know when the games are shown.

I, for one, am excited to be able to watch the games whilst eating breakfast.  And, as an added bonus due to being a teacher, I’m off all week too! I’m sure it’ll inspire me to head to the gym even more than usual so I am ridiculously excited for what’s ahead.

Every 4 years England, Scotland and Wales are able to play against each other, and I’m sure that the contest between these sides this year will be hotter than ever.

New Zealand and Australia are also cosy neighbours, and the rivalry between both will be a spectacular event to watch too.

Also, this year is a special year as it’s the first time in Ghana’s history that they’re fielding a hockey team in this tournament (pun intended, obviously). I’m very excited to see what they have to offer.
